World’s Longest Inflatable Water Slide
Dodge Journey Water Slide Commercial
Big Events Inc. recently built the World’s Longest Water Slide that was featured in a national television commercial for the Dodge Journey. The slide, completed in just 10 days, is 700 feet long and 10 feet wide. The slide took over 1,000 yards of fabric and 400 man hours to complete. To put the length in perspective, it is longer than two football fields put together. Filmed in downtown Los Angeles, California, the water slide took eight hours to prepare and install for the three day commercial shoot.
Seen nationally in the spring & summer of 2008, the 30-second spot airs on television while the 60-second version will be shown in movie theaters.
The Oklahoma Centennial Parade
October 14, 2007
Celebrating 100 Years! A Parade for the Sooner Century. Celebrating The State of Oklahoma’s unique history and extraordinary future.
One of the largest parades in Oklahoma State history and one of the largest spectator events ever held, the Parade featured helium balloons, floats, marching bands, equestrian units, singers, dancers and many, many celebrity guests. The Oklahoma Centennial Parade, October 14, 2007.
Never before have there been 60 foot long floats and 45 foot tall parade balloons in Oklahoma City. The City officials worked to clear the way, moving stop lights and wires along the two mile parade route. Big Events, Inc. is proud to have been part of this spectacular parade. It was windy as only Oklahoma can be, but we were up to the challenge and had lots of enthusiastic volunteers that worked really hard to help us handle the balloons down the parade route. Big Events assembled a crew of our top balloon supervisors to manage the balloons. Some from as far away as the States of Oregon and Maryland.

The Yahoo! Mail mascot was reproduced as a 70’ tall helium balloon to announce the release of the all-new Yahoo! Mail. It took 4,000 cubic feet of helium to fly “LIAM” above this event. He was the ultimate visual prop creating a fun and festive atmosphere for the day long event.
LIAM then made a second appearance at the newly opened Yahoo! facility in San Diego to welcome the employees and to say hello to the new neighbors.
Venue Tent – San Antonio, Texas Dome Tent Cold Air Inflatables
Big Events is now producing inflatable tents at many sizes (20ft – 50ft). With the ability to 100% digitally print the canopy, the customization option are endless. In conjunction with Colored Ink, we have started to use a heavy duty light weight 5.6 oz fabric for the canopy. This new fabric significantly decreases the overall weight of the balloon allowing for easier maneuverability.

Rite Aid Conference – Anaheim Convention Center 25’ White Helium Sphere Custom Fabricated
Weighing 175 lbs Big Events inflated this balloon with 2800 c.f. of helium giving the balloon just a couple pounds of positive lift. With the balloon buoyant at sea level we attached this gigantic sphere to only 4 tether points, anchoring it in a static position for 4 days. From there the projection specialists took over strategically placing equipment around the balloon creating a magnificently clear projection onto the balloon. These are only two of the many different projections shown at the conference.
